Summary:
The Batch Maker will be responsible for formulating Batch Samples by following instruction sheets precisely and delivering the samples to the Quality Lab for testing in a timely manner.
This position will also be responsible for utilizing a forklift and pallet jack to move and unload product.
Key
Responsibilities:
(Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned) Follow all safety and quality guidelines with high sense of urgency and attention to detail, ability to work independently and unsupervised in addition to being part of a team Capable of remaining calm while working in a high stress environment, multitasking and acceptance of extremely detailed directives Read, formulate, and follow batch sheet instructions, accurately complete batch sheets, deliver batch samples to Quality Lab for testing Unload ingredients and move product using forklifts and pallet jacks Maintenance and cleaning of production tanks, valves, pumps, pails and totes; train other staff members on these procedures as needed Accurately perform detailed inventory counts and paperwork Competency to work with kosher and organic products, adhering to regulations and preferences of customers Uphold standards for cleanliness and safe work environment, ensure your work area's meet these expectations Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, with 1 - 3 years of related experience, in the food or beverage industry preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-2 years of Forklift experience Strong ability to efficiently remain organized, detailed oriented and tactful while communicating, troubleshooting and multi-tasking Ability to follow standard operating procedures Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a team and independently Competitive compensation package including health benefits, vacation time, sick time and incentive opportunities Supervisory
Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Operates in a professional office environment as well as within a manufacturing environment subject to inside environmental conditions and noise.
Often required to sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear, listen, talk, stand, and walk.
Often required to climb stairs, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
